Hazel Johnson Mandolin / Guitar / Road Manager / Instrument Teacher .
Hazel Johnson has lived in Hiseville, Kentucky since 1972. She was born in England and grew up in Kenya, While in England, she ran the Cambridge Folk Music Festival, one of the longest running folk music festivals in the world. n 1969 she came to the United States as part of a tour that the British Country Music Association put on. She returned again and developed a friendship with folk music icons Norman Blake and Sam Bush. In 1971, she came to the United States to stay and got a job working at the world famous Gruhn Guitar Shop in Nashville. She met her husband Courtney Johnson while working there as an instrument repair person. After marrying Courtney she moved to Hiseville, Kentucky. Courtney was the banjo player for one the most influential bluegrass bands in history, the Kentucky based, New Grass Revival. From 1972 to 1981, Hazel served as New Grass Revival's road manager and as road manager for Leon Russell from 1979 - 1981. The years touring with New Grass Revival introduced Hazel to some of America's most legendary folk and bluegrass performers.
Sam Bush recalls that Hazel and Courtney would sit and jam for hours and hours, adding that Hazel has become "well versed" in bluegrass and fiddle tunes, as well as the knowledge of Celtic fiddle tunes that she brought with her from England. Following the death of her husband, Hazel went on tour with Norman Blake for three years. During this time she recorded sessions with Johnny and June Carter Cash, including playing mandolin on June Carter Cash's Grammy award winning CD "Press On." In the 1980s she also performed on Kentucky fiddler Art Stamper's album "It's a Dilly".
According to Erika Brady, folk studies professor at Western Kentucky University, "she's been around the best in bluegrass and contemporary old time music, and she's learned from every one of them, but she definitely has her own voice."

David Foster Vocalist / guitarist / pianist, / and fiddler / Songwriter.

David has lived in Horse Cave, Kentucky since 1987. David was born and raised in Galax, Virginia ... a small town hailed as the "mountain music capital of the world".
Galax is well known among fiddle players for the distinctive fiddle style that originated there in the mountains of southwestern Virginia. David's musical influences are diverse, ranging from the popular radio music of his youth to the old time tunes played throughout the Galax area to the vaudeville era songs that his father sang and played on the piano.
At Emory and Henry College, David completed a bachelor's degree in classical music theory, but his primary interest was folk music. After graduating college, David spent the next two years performing solo in coffee houses and venues throughout Virginia and East Tennessee. He also began pursuing songwriting and got his first taste of success by beating out more than 300 applicants in a radio music contest entitled the Best of WQUT. David's first recording was one of 10 local recordings released on a record produced and promoted regionally by John Anderson.
David's work at the American Cave Museum provided a platform to promote traditional music and the arts in Kentucky. He has hosted shows at the museum featuring nationally known performers such as Norman Blake and John Cowan. He helped start the Horse Cave Heritage Festival which has featured 25 to 30 local musical acts every year for the past ten years. He is actively involved with the Horse Cave Arts Council and this past fall hosted the Kentucky Arts Council's "Made To Be Played" luthier exhibit and a series of traditional music.
David performed with is own band “Soulgrass,” for a number of years, and can now be found Performing with “Nightfall” when not playing with Barren Hart
